WHY YOU CAN’T MISS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP JACKSON HOLE SNOWMOBILE HILL CLIMB
Updated: Nov 14, 2018
Looking for some real fun this March? Then pack your thermals and book yourself on a Jackson Hole break for March 22 to 25, 2018 – because the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb is an experience not to be forgotten! Hosted by the Jackson Hole Snow Devils snowmobile club, this year marks the 42nd time this legendary event has taken place, so it’s sure to draw huge crowds. In fact, the event usually attracts more than 10,000 fans from the US and Canada. The Jackson Hole Snow Devils club dates back to 1964 when the gang got together for club rides, oval races and cross country races. The hill climb’s roots lie in a few members of the Snow Devils high-marking a ski slope back in 1975. Today more than 400 snowmobile hill climb racers take part, making it one of the largest non-profit charity snowmobile events in the US. And it’s entertaining stuff – as the machines struggle to get up the 1,500-foot vertical rise mountain that is aptly named "Snow King". There’ll be big screens to watch all the action on and food and beer concessions to keep you fed and watered. And in the evening, the bars and restaurants of Jackson Hole burst into life with live music. After a day of snowmobile racing and an evening of partying, kick back and relax by your own fireplace in one of our King Fireplace Rooms at the retreat-style Wyoming Inn.
